Who can enter?
Young landscapers aged 30 or under on 31 December 2026, working full-time in the landscape sector.
Where?
Finalists compete at the Christchurch Botanic Gardens on Saturday 19 September 2026.

$150 + GST. Entries close at 5:00pm on Wednesday 1 July 2026.

Why Enter?
Young Landscaper of the Year gives entrants the chance to gain industry recognition, test their skills, build confidence and receive valuable feedback from experienced landscaping professionals.
For employers, it is an opportunity to support future leaders, raise business visibility and celebrate emerging talent within the landscaping industry.

Complete your entry
Submit the entry form by 5:00pm, Wednesday 1 July 2026. The form must be completed and signed by both the entrant and employer.
Finalists selected
Ten finalists will be selected based on experience, work ethic, leadership, communication, training and demonstrated excellence.
Competition day
Finalists complete written and practical challenges across softscape, hardscape, health and safety, planning, communication and design interpretation.
Competition Requirements
Finalists must attend the Christchurch event on 18–19 September 2026 and the Awards Dinner on the evening of Saturday 19 September. Entrants must provide their own toolbelt and approved PPE.
